In a country like India , one idea and one development program would be hardly appropriate.
Desperate basic needs are born and multiplied each day. To add to the suffering of the poor millions, man-made calamities are often compounded by nature’s misbehavior.
Further, love and a desire to serve are praise-worthy, but they are not sufficient. The apostle Paul inspiringly says in Philippians 1:9, that “love” should be enhanced with “knowledge and depth of insight.”
The first step was to equip and empower those in the field. Thus UEMI began its ‘Training in Missions’ program. This was followed by ministry to children, promoting adult literacy, organizing medical outreach evangelistic crusades in different zones, coordinating Pastors’ seminars, constructing schools for street children, providing shelter for abandoned, destitute women.
One ministry towers over all others – the prayer ministry.
God’s work can only be done with God’s grace that is showered abundantly in answer to earnest petition.
