Prayer, A Shield to our Souls

As you are probably aware, India will host the Commonwealth Games October 3-14. The games were awarded to India in 2003, but our country has endured much criticism since then due to its unpreparedness. Business Today magazine estimates that the Games will cost 300 billion (US $6.5 billion). This makes the 2010 Commonwealth Games the most expensive ever, being larger than the previous games held in Melbourne in 2006 (approx. US $1.1 billion). The reason for the delays and shoddy work is rampant corruption (which is accepted as a way of life by many Indians). A recent survey shows that one out of three Indians is corrupt. I thank God for the privilege we have in Jesus to be a testimony.
