Our founder is an Indian man who met with an accident and was battling death when he cried, "Spare me Lord and my life will be yours." God heard and spared him. That's how the work began, on April 23, 1988. In the same year our founder met Rev. Dr. Donald Miles, a pastor in New York, and shared the vision God had given him.
Sensing the calling on this man's life, Pastor Miles guided him to obey the call of God and serve mankind by showing the light of God in the land of India. Pastor Miles is now the President of the Board of UEMI.
That same man has led the work for the last 20 years. We cannot name him on this website because of the current persecution of Christians in India.
As you take time to browse through this website, we pray that you will see how God has impacted thousands of people with spiritual, social and economci transformation through Community Transformation Centers, children's homes and other children's programs, and the Women's Programs.
Our mission is to take the gospel to unreached people groups and to show God's love by caring for the poor, destitute and orphans in villages and towns in India and parts of Asia.
Our strategy is to reach one district, one city, one village and one individual at a time.
Our method is to empower Indian nationals and transform communities, giving Indian people the resources they need to reach their neighbors, their nation, and the world around them.
"To proclaim the gospel to the un-reached people groups and to share God's love by empowering the nationals and transforming the communities"
UEMI does not direct the work in India. We exist to serve and support the work of the local board and staff (unnamed here to protect them from persecution).
