UEMI Founder John Peter Kirubagaran shares the central convictions of his life and ministry

UEMI has been established to serve people in the name of Jesus Christ. For it is Jesus who takes us as sinners and turns us into saints.

We are a team that is unified in purpose, yet we are diverse in character and skills. As an organization, we commit ourselves to support those in need, rejoice with those who meet with gladness, encourage responsible stewardship, and promote love and healing in society as we proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ.

We believe we are saved by God’s grace, not by our works or goodness. Salvation comes only through the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ. We live in the freedom of Christian love, community and responsibility. Our faith is not something for which we can take credit.  Everyone has fallen short of God's glory.  Everyone has sinned.  No one is perfect.  Everyone is a sinner.  We all need God's love.  The Good News is that Jesus died for all people.  He died for the forgiveness of our sins.  He died so that we might live forever.  He died on the cross for you.  When we trust God's love for us and understand what Jesus did for us, then we have faith in God.

We believe that good works are important and necessary, but not as a way of winning God's blessing or earning God's favor.  Good works are our response to the Good News of God's love for us.  Good works are done for the sake of our neighbors.  Kind deeds and acts of love are for the benefit of our neighbors who are in need of Christian compassion.

It is our goal that all those we serve through UEMI endeavors will mature into caring, concerned, capable Christian citizens of tomorrow.

We believe that good works are important and necessary, but not as a way of winning God's blessing or earning God's favor.  Good works are our response to the Good News of God's love for us.  Good works are done for the sake of our neighbors.
